Mosaic Jacket is included in my “Art Life Jackets” in the small NIPSCO space at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts in Michigan City, Indiana. I rolled out thin slabs of earthenware which I clear glazed. I scrubbed gold acrylic paint between the fragments.
I have made “Art Life Jackets” for a selection of my exhibition since my MFA exhibition, “Survival Skills” in University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1980. They are artifacts from the decades of my practice. I enjoy them as souvenirs.
