This mix media sculpture is a collaboration between Laurel Izard and myself. Izwin Home presents Laurel’s fiber figures contained in a doll house on an unconventional pedestal. I found the doll house by the road for the garbage pick-up by the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, Indiana. I brought it to my studio to transform it. This sculpture is the first team effort in the arts between Laurel and myself since our Izwin business ended around 2001. The influence of outsider artists shows with my fabrication of the pedestal and the “found” doll house”.
